Adopted As Sons - National Day of Prayer 2020

Adopted As Son" But when the fulness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons." (Galatians 4:4-5)

Today in America's National Day of Prayer. Join me and millions of others who understand that they are children of God here in America and seek His face for healing, revival and deliverance from this plague we are facing.

When the original language is studied, "adoption as sons" means "to be placed as a son" from the Greek "huiothesia" which in ancient times was a ceremony used when a boy was recognized as his father's son and heir when he came of age, usually twelve. Remember, God does not adopt those who are not His children already; adoption is related to a position rather than to kinship. When a man is born again, he becomes by that birth a child of God, and then God places him in the position of son, sonship in His holy eternal family. The Holy Spirit indwelling within the believer assures him or her of the new position as a present experience. There is no gender in the eternal family of God. The full manifestation of this wonderful truth and position, however, awaits the second coming of our Lord when the believer will receive his transfigured body. As this truth is stated in Romans 8:23 saying, "... but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body." Yes, the last thing God does for us just as He appears to bring the whole body of Christ before the Father is to give us a new spiritual body that will last forever as we dwell together in the family of God in glory!
