OUR PASTOR and PAM
Our Pastor, Alan Baker, and his wife Pam are our ministering couple from Flagstaff. Pastor Al is passionate about people belonging, believing, and becoming the person God intended them to be. Pam is a Registered Nurse who has worked in the phsyciatric field for almost twenty years. Together they provide ministry to our congregation and community.
Pastor Al has a caring heart for people. Serving as a pastor in the United Methodist Church in Flagstaff and Duncan, Arizona. Alan attended Clermont School of Theology and then attended Master's Internation School of Divinity and recieved a Master of Ministry Degree. While serving the Church in Duncan Alan worked as a chaplain at Arizona State Prison in Safford, AZ and while in Flagstaff he worked at the Salvation Army along with El Divino Redentor United Methodist Church. Prior to ministry Pastor Al served in the USMC and was an armorer for the Marine Corps High Power Rifle Team. He has continued to be involved in the shooting sports and gunsmithing.
Pastor Al and Pam enjoy the outdoors and all that comes with it. They enjoy hunting for wildlife and Pam take their picture. Pastor Al studied conservation during his military careerer and both enjoy the world God has created and believe that we should be great stewarts of creation.
Pastor Al and Pam say come: Belong, Believe, and Become the person the Lord Jesus created you to be.
OUR CHURCH
The Community Church of Sunsites is where you can Belong, Believe, and Become. What do we mean by that? That you find a place to Belong in the family of God. Belonging means that you are welcomed, cared for, and even challenged a little and above all you are loved. Believing means that you believe that Jesus of Nazareth is God and He died in your place so that you might have everlasting life. That you believe that God made you for a purpose. Becoming means that you will become the person you were created to be. The ministry of the church is to help you become that person whatever it is.
The Community Church of Sunsites is a church that believes in the orthodox Christian faith. The worship is traditional. Christ is central and the Bible is the inspired word of God.
